1.) Construction Assistant

This position involves both labor and administrative responsibilities. This position offers personal growth, consistent work, competitive compensation and scheduling flexibility that can support “student life”. Yes, we also work on Saturdays. This position is a direct support role for the general contractor who manages the operations. There is constant exposure to most of the trades and skills that are involved in construction. The construction assistant also supports the administrative side of the operations including collaboration for developing new SOP's, and creating and or updating existing systems that make the operations run more efficiently. This position includes “on the job training”. Relevant experience in construction may influence starting pay. Relevant experience is considered “complementary”; but is NOT required for this position.

Requirements
  • Required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
  • Must be drug free
  • No criminal record involving violent crime, victim crime or theft

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Data entry, purchasing, managing social media and web content, estimate preparation, permit aquisition, etc.
    • Safety,Demolition
    • HVAC: Installation / Repair, Appliance Repair
    • Carpentry: Framing, Steel framing, Cabinets, Counter tops, Vanities, Doors, Trim, etc
    • Interior: Painting, Insulation, Drywall, Flooring, Tile work, Restoration Services, Plumbing, Electrical
    • Exterior: Soffit, Fascia, Gutters, Siding, Roofing, Windows, Concrete, Decks, Fences, Painting, Tuck-pointing

    Hourly Wage for this position is between $18 and $22 based on skill and experience.
